Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 October 2026
These terms apply to websites, hosting and related services supplied by Moonlight Web, a web design studio run by Khulekani Mfeka in Durban, South Africa ("Moonlight Web", "we"). Contact: hello@moonlightweb.co.za. By accepting a quote, paying a setup fee or completing a PayFast checkout for any of our plans, you ("the client") agree to these terms.
1. Our plans
- Monthly plan: R297 per month, which covers your website, hosting, domain renewal and basic care (small content updates). A once-off setup fee of R300 may apply, or no setup fee, as stated in your quote or checkout link.
- Custom websites: from R4,500 once-off, quoted per project. Ongoing hosting and care is billed separately as a monthly subscription unless your quote says otherwise.
- The exact amounts, start date and what is included are those shown in your quote and on the PayFast checkout you complete.
2. Payment and monthly debit orders
- Monthly hosting and care is billed as a recurring subscription through PayFast (card or debit order), normally on the 1st of each month, until cancelled.
- By completing the PayFast subscription checkout you authorise Moonlight Web to collect the recurring amount shown on that checkout each month.
- If a payment fails we will let you know and try again. If an account stays unpaid for more than 30 days we may suspend the website until it is brought up to date.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days' written notice (WhatsApp or email).
3. Cancellation
- You can cancel your monthly plan at any time by WhatsApp or email to hello@moonlightweb.co.za. Please give at least 7 days' notice before your next billing date so we can stop the next debit.
- Cancellation stops future debits. Months already paid are not refunded, and the site stays live until the end of the paid month.
- Once-off setup and custom build fees are not refundable once work has started.
- After cancellation we can hand over your domain on request, as long as the account is paid up.
- Please contact us before disputing a debit with your bank or PayFast, so we can sort out any problem quickly.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate business details, content, photos and logos, and confirm you have the right to use them.
- Check your website when it goes live and tell us about any errors.
- Keep your contact details up to date and keep your monthly payments current.
- Do not use the website for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful.
- You are responsible for your own business information, prices and claims shown on your site.
5. Our responsibilities
- Build the website as agreed and keep it hosted and online, apart from reasonable maintenance and outages outside our control.
- Make small content updates on the monthly plan within a reasonable time.
- Keep your information confidential.
6. Ownership
You own your business content, logo and photos. Your domain is registered for your business. The website design and code are licensed to you for as long as your plan is active, or transferred to you on a paid-up custom build if your quote says so.
7. Limitation of liability
We take care to keep sites working, but we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales or profits. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
8. General
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. We may update them from time to time; the current version is always on this page.
Privacy (POPIA)
We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
- What we collect: your name, business name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, and the business content you send us. We do not store card or bank details; payments are processed by PayFast.

- Sharing: only with service providers we need to run your website and billing (such as our hosting provider and PayFast), never sold or shared for marketing.
- Retention: we keep your information while you are a client and as long as the law requires for tax and accounting records.
- Your rights: you may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to us contacting you, by emailing hello@moonlightweb.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
